Caribbean Cargo Offers Free Caribbean Shipping for Charitable Organizations

June 25, 2008 Caribbean Cargo DC LLC (CCDC), a DC Metro area freight forwarding company specializing in shipments to the Caribbean, recently announced the formation of the CaribCare Holiday Charity Shipping Program. Through CaribCare, Caribbean Cargo DC will provide free shipping to the Caribbean from October 15, 2008 to November 15, 2008 for any non-profit organization doing charitable work in the homeland.

Free shipping through CaribCare will be provided to any 501(c)(3) non-profit or organization that is recognized by their embassy for doing charitable work benefiting the homeland during the upcoming holiday season. Only organizations with embassy certification will be eligible.

Royston DeSouza, one of the principals at CCDC, explained, "We’ve always been very interested in strengthening the ties between the United States and the Caribbean. For those groups doing charity work in the Caribbean, we want to do our part by providing the shipping they need to help defray the cost. It’s our way of supporting their efforts in the best way that we can, especially in these times with rising fuel costs."

Caribbean Cargo DC is a licensed and bonded NVOCC that specializes in international shipping, including air and ocean freight to the Caribbean, Africa and Central America. With several years of combined business expertise and a strong dedication to the Caribbean community both in the United States and abroad, CCDC is working in conjunction with CaribCare as one way to help the Caribbean community in its Caribbean charitable efforts.
