EXTREME DELAY FOR GUYANA VESSEL
Caribbean Cargo DC is providing this urgent update in response to carrier delays for cargo and freight shipments coming into Guyana due to arrive on 7/20/2022 under Booking number BK#7211857A.
Based on the response from our vendors in Guyana, CCDC will be advising customers who are expecting delivery of shipments into Guyana of the current vessel delays. This is large part due to the issue of changes in routes and continued “installation of new cranes in Rio Haina that has caused delays to many vessels and shipments”. These are problems our vendor at Seaboard and other lines have expressed they are experiencing.
The service to Guyana is “decided by Vessel Ops and is based on vessel rotations, terminal delays, connections, weather etc.” CCDC is in close contact with our vendors in Guyana to receive updates as they are available to advise customers of service improvements.
The new ETA for the current Guyana container is now scheduled to arrive in Georgetown on 8/21/22 per the ETA currently showing in our vendors’ system.
UPDATE AS OF 8/17/2022 – ETA IS NOW 8/24/2022
These are generally challenging times for the cargo industry. However, CCDC does seriously consider on-time delivery and we maintain our scheduled cargo departures from our Lanham, Maryland warehouse.
The reported delays are substantial with some customers being unable to receive destination port authorization to collect LCLs over the course of several weeks.
We also remind customers that CCDC does not control destination port procedures.
