Caribbean Cargo DC is hiring a Business Development Representative based near our Lanham, Maryland headquarters in Prince George’s County. The ideal candidate must be able to multi-task and present in a professional manner as this position will be customer-facing. The candidate will possess advanced administrative office skills and report directly to our CEO. Work also requires contact with clients, high-level managers, executives, governmental officials, NGOs and private entities. This Mid-Level role requires the ability to perform work independently and maintain confidentiality to complete assigned tasks and assignments, escalating to General Managers only when appropriate.
Job Responsibilities:
Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
Contact and present our company to potential clients through calls, emails, and text/WhatsApp
Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services based on service offerings
Customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction, with approval from manager
Build long-term trusting relationships with clients, vendors and business partners
Proactively seek new business opportunities in the Mid-Atlantic region/market
Remain up to date with new products/services and pricing
Complete other job responsibilities as needed
Job Requirements:
Experience as a business development representative, sales executive, or similar role
Familiar with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls) and use of CRM software
Proven track record of achieving sales quotas and understanding sales metrics
Well-versed communicator with negotiation and engaging presentation skills
Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or relevant field
A self-starter that completes assignments independently without supervision
Work weekly shift with alternating weekend work required
Advanced proficiency in English, Microsoft Office Suite
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong Customer Service and negotiation skills
Meet or exceed all performance goals

Specific Qualifications Include
- Associates or bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 3 years of proven admin or clerical support to upper management
- Education may be substituted for experience on a year-per-year basis
- No supervisory experience required.

- Strong diplomatic and conflict-management skills
- Advanced computer and typing skills
- Sales experience is a plus
