Caribbean Cargo DC Partners With GO Missions & Outreach For Free Drive-Thru Food Drive
The Mid-Atlantic’s Leading Shipping & Logistics Firm Encourages Local Businesses to Co-Host Free Food Distributions
LANHAM, Md. – May 29, 2020 – On Saturday, May 23rd, Caribbean Cargo DC served as a business partner for GO Missions & Outreach’s Drive-Thru Food Giveaway. The event was made possible by Lady Roxanne Cora-Dian Cameron; Founder of the Bread of Life Distribution (BOLD) Pantry Ministry Program at Lighthouse Ministries International (LHMI) Inc. Donors for this community event included Mr. Chris Dipnarine — CEO & President CEO of 4MYCITY and Coosemans — and Mr. Royston DeSouza — CEO & President of Caribbean Cargo DC and former Director of Retail Advertising at The Washington Post.
The food drive was hosted on-site via a contact-less drive-through service with convenient registration for families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Families remained in their vehicles and simply popped open their trunk to allow BOLD Pantry volunteers to provide each family with donated fruit, vegetables and produce. As an essential business, Caribbean Cargo DC understands the economic hardships its clients and customers are experiencing and saw this giveaway as an opportunity to give customers in need an opportunity to receive grocery assistance.
BOLD Pantry partners with local businesses who see their clients as more than just customers. These businesses have a long-standing relationship with their community and are known for their service and dedication. During the pandemic, BOLD Pantry is in operation on a CALL-BY-CALL basis. The Bread of Life Distribution (BOLD) Pantry Ministry Program has been in operation from 2008 at Lighthouse Ministries International (LHMI) Inc., but was officially launched on Nov. 21, 2015. In 2018 The BOLD Pantry changed operational management, and is now being operated and managed by The Cora-Dian Cameron Heart of Hope Extended, Inc. located at LHMI, Inc.
