Caribbean Cargo DC offers a 15% discount for shipments to Guyana in partnership with the United Guyanese Diaspora Global Network (UGDGN) Corp.
The announcement was made in a recent press release featured on Guyana Graphic and also shared news of Dr. Riyad Insanally — Guyana’s Ambassador to the U.S. — being slated as a guest speaker during the upcoming launch and fundraiser of UGDGN Corp.
UGDGN is a nonprofit organization that promotes a united Guyanese diaspora for effective impact nation-building and is committed to encouraging active diaspora engagement for social and economic development by mobilizing, harnessing and utilizing the collective strengths and potential of Guyanese on a global level. Mr. Wayne Forde — Founder and President of UGDGN Corp — is quoted as stating; “We seek to foster transformational change, innovation, and create a prosperous and harmonious Guyana for all Guyanese”.
Anticipated guests for the UGDGN launch include H.E. President David Granger, Guyana’s Consul General Barbara Atherly (NY), Guyana High Commissioner Clarissa Sabita Riehl, Consul-General Anyin Choo (Toronto), New York Senator Roxanne Persaud, and New York Congresswoman Miss Yvette Clarke.
The press release states the event will also serve as a fundraising event to assist in providing back-to-school supplies for primary school children in Guyana in addition to financing a project in collaboration with the International Organization (IOM) for a Skills-Mapping survey to fill gaps in Guyana, including the oil and gas sector.
