Statement Regarding the Collapse of Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge
Caribbean Cargo DC extends a heartfelt offer of condolences to the families affected by a cargo ship colliding with Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge on Tuesday, March 26th. The tragic loss of lives, injuries sustained by this collision, and the significant bridge damage has caused deep sorrow and devastation in the community. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those who lost their loved ones in this unfortunate incident.
The safety and well-being of our community members are of utmost importance, and it is essential that we come together to support one another during this challenging time. As we understand this may create a logistical nightmare for ship traffic at the Port of Baltimore, we note that Baltimore is not our major port for container vessels as we export primarily from the ports of New York, Philadelphia, and Miami. We want to assure our valued customers that this tragedy will not affect our cargo shipments at this time.
We extend our prayers for strength and comfort to the families affected. We continue to assess the updates from Baltimore and respond to customers who require further assurance. If you need further information, please contact the Caribbean Cargo DC at 301-887-1070.
Sincerely,
Caribbean Cargo DC
